dc.description.abstract | Until twentieth century green has been just the color of money for banks. With the introduction of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in 2001, banking sector took steps in environment-friendly practices. Development of industries enhanced the factors of global warming, soil erosion, ozone depletion, deforestation, air and water pollution. Green Banking refers to the practices and regulations that make banks sustainable in economic, environment, and social dimensions. In Coimbatore City the launch of green initiative has brought a revolutionary change in the banking sector and has moved financially ahead of green initiatives. The data for the present study were collected from 143 bankers of both public and private sector banks using simple random sampling. Correlation and regression analysis were used to analyze the results of the study. The results of the study suggest that Environmental Training, Energy Efficient Practices and Green Projects have significant Impact on Bank’s Environmental Performance. | en_US |
