Abstract: | The micro, small, and medium enterprises(MSME) is a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian Economy. It contributes in the economic and social development of the country. MSMEs are fostering entrepreneurship and generating largest employment opportunities with comparatively lower capital cost next to phenomenal growth of MSMEs in Tamil Nadu. MSMEs produce a wide variety of products in almost all sectors. The prominent amongst them are textile, garments, engineering products, auto ancillaries, leather products, plastics, etc. It is observed that the performance of MSME in Tamil Nadu is good in terms of registered units, investment and employment. |
