For an individual any environment has a certain degree of stress, though of varying duration. When stress is sustained for a long period of time, the problem becomes significant. Since India is a labour surplus economy, getting employment is a must for all not only for the self but also to become useful to the country. Entering into a wrong job and hanging on to it for the obvious reason of making a living is quite common in Indian economic scene. Such a situation only adds to the occupational stress. The aim of the study is to determine the Occupational Stress level of college teachers living in different socio-cultural and economic situations.en_US
