Abstract: | On an account of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) which is otherwise coined as the 'virtual' world is imposing the industries to concentrate on cyber-physical production systems. Thereby the situation led the industries to undergo a massive transformation in the way companies approach manufacturing and service in a novel industrial structure. As the impact of fourth industrial revolution, there exist skill transformations and shift in the labour market from traditional employment to ‘gig economy’ which requires the agile workforce that respond effectively to the technological changes in the industry. The study focus to identify the impact of life satisfaction on organisational commitment in the era dominated by automated technology. The findings indicate that the life satisfaction exhibits significant effects on organisation commitment. A high level of life satisfaction (Mean=3.71) was observed among the respondents with more of affective commitment. No significant gender difference among the study variables was observed. |
