Abstract: The present study discusses about the socio-psychological barriers faced by women leaders in their organization i.e.; job related stress, gender related barrier, glass ceiling, socio cultural beliefs and how they affect the leadership position. The study was conducted among 75 women leaders in IT company’s and the results of the study shows that socio-psychological barriers faced by women in leadership in IT sector arises due to work life balance.
