A series of new 2-amino-4-(1,1′-biphenyl-4-yl)-6-aryl-6H-1,3-thiazines has been synthesized, characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass and elemental analyses and evaluated for in vitro antibacterial activity against some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The antibacterial data revealed that the compounds had better activity against tested organisms than the reference norfloxacin.en_US
