Abstract: | Nanomaterial’s research has many interesting and proven results in the progression of the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. The process of interlinking nanoparticles/composites with medical devices in the form of coatings and target delivery systems paved new horizons for the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. The outstanding characteristics and functional properties of nanomaterials upsurge the efficacy, decrease the difficulties connected with medical devices, and advance the accuracy and function of drug delivery systems. Hence, in this chapter, we presented the role of nanomaterial in medical devices with the help of nanotechnology, their merits, and mitigating the disadvantages of improper handling of these nanocompounds. |
